It is true I came by breastfeeding naturally. My mother breastfed all six of her children until we self-weaned, but this is not necessarily why I have such a love for it. I have found in my own experience that it is so wonderful emotionally and physically for both my baby and me. My sister and I were speaking the other day and we came to a conclusion about breastfeeding and family dynamic. My mother breastfed six children: all six are very independent, very successful in their careers, and very close to the whole family. My mother-in-law breastfed four children: all three (that are still living) are very independent, very successful in their careers, and very close to the whole family. We both have friends that we know were not breastfed, each of these friends do not have ALL three of these things in common. They are either very independent and successful or successful and close to the family, or some other combination of one or two of these factors, but not all three. Each of my siblings (ranging from 36-21) talks to our mother and father multiple times a day and would have it no other way. This is just an observation that my sister and I made the other day…could it be the physical, emotional, and just plain awesomeness that is breastfeeding?! Or just plain old coincidence? My vote is obvious
The 6 breastfeeders and the most amazing parents EVER!

Hey there, we are Kirbie and Jackson, mother and son. We love breastfeeding and believe in the benefits of breastfeeding; we feel that every mother and child should have the choice to do so, without criticism or ridicule. We are here to support you in your journey of breastfeeding, for documenting our family's happenings and to discuss whatever else I may find interesting. I hope you enjoy my perspective!
