My favorite time of day!

I have a favorite time of day.  This would be a surprise to you if you have known me for a while.  See, I have never been one to enjoy waking up to an alarm clock.  This actually annoys me to no end.  I enjoy sleeping until I am ready to wake up.  Well, since November 22, 2011 I have had a new alarm clock.  This new alarm clock is cute, sweet, loving, and just so darned cuddly!  He wakes me up every morning (that I am off, he is not awake when I head off to work) between 8:00 and 8:30am.  We co-sleep and he just lays there staring at me with his so cute, few teeth grin.  I. LOVE. IT.  He is so happy in the morning and offers the sweetest grin and the most precious giggles.  We will roll around in the morning and snuggle for a few minutes before getting up and changing his diaper and getting ourselves ready for the day, but these few minutes are my most favorite time of day!

This is Jackson on most occasions…smiley, happy, giggly, goofy, and just plain ol’ cute!  Maybe I am biased, but not much , but this past weekend, my poor boy was so congested and had the worst runny nose ever!  Ok, so it was his first, so I am not really sure it will be the worst ever, but it has to be close.  He still was his smiley self, just a bit slower to smile, a bit slower to giggle, and a bit quicker to fuss and need to be cuddled throughout the day.

This my friends is what I was working with on Saturday and Sunday.  I promise you I wiped his nose 2.3 seconds prior to this picture!  The problem was that I seem to have miss placed a part to our NoseFrida (amazing little snot snucker) and the dumb bulb aspirators from our local store did NOTHING for him except make him mad and then give him something to teeth on later when he found it laying on the table.  So we constantly were just wiping the excess of with a soft cloth.  He hates the cloth now

Anyway, back to the point, my favorite time of day…while, we were awake pretty much every hour on the hour crying and trying to breathe, he still woke me up with that most wonderful smile, which makes for the sleepless night rocking, nursing for comfort, and cuddling him well worth it.  I love being this snotty-nosed boy’s momma!
